About the story: The internal drama of a poor, melancholic artist who's torn between the spiritual forces of color, darkness & light. She is confronted with the desire to be seen, yet yearns for solitude and the desire to remain true to her creative impulses and innate inspirations. As she ferociously fights her inner demons that implant doubts into her, she struggles against the constant opponent she has to conquer in order to be successful. The constant effort, the renunciation, the despair, the overexertion... Ultimately, she reaches a pivotal moment of enlightenment, recognizing the guiding force of Divine Providence in her artistic journey. The enemy is therefore defeated, her faith restored. At the end of the day, however, even as she rose to new heights, she remains ever-aware of her own vulnerability as "just the muse who drowns in her own tears."
